Common questions

Booking, Timing and the 30-Minute Guarantee

Timing matters most when a drain has already blocked. Here's what to expect once you pick up the phone.

How fast can you get here?

Thirty minutes, door to door, guaranteed from the moment you hang up the phone. It's a fixed commitment, not a ballpark figure, whether that call lands at peak hour or 3am.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, we don't close on weekends, public holidays, or at midnight. Whoever picks up is a licensed plumber, never an answering machine or an outsourced call centre.

What happens after I call?

A plumber walks you through the problem over the phone and gets someone heading your way. On arrival, you sign off on the fixed price before anything gets touched, then the job kicks off straight away.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Sewage coming up through a fixture indoors, a stormwater pit that can't keep up in heavy rain, or a toilet that won't stop running. If you're not certain, ring us and let a plumber make that call, not you.

Common questions

What It Costs to Get It Flowing

No hourly rate, no guesswork. Here's the model behind every quote.

How do quotes work?

A plumber assesses what's actually wrong first, then hands you one number in writing before touching a tool. Nothing ticks over on the clock, and nothing gets added once the job is underway.

How does the 10% seniors discount work?

Show your seniors card and we knock 10% off the total on the spot. Flag it while booking and it'll already be sitting on the paperwork when we arrive.

Do prices change once you start?

No, the price we quote is the price you pay, with no exceptions. If something changes once we're inside the drain, we stop and talk to you before it affects the number.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, and there's no call-out fee attached either. You can get a plumber to look at a blocked drain and walk away with a number in hand and no bill for the visit.

Common questions

Local to Forestville

The questions we get most from people who actually live around here.

How local are you, really?

Forestville and the surrounding Northern Beaches pocket are our home turf, not a suburb we cover once in a while from across Sydney. We know Darley Street, Starkey Street and the older blocks around them well.

Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?

Forestville is mostly separate houses on their own blocks, and that's the bulk of our work here. We still handle strata and multi-unit jobs where the plumbing sits on the private side of the boundary.

Do you know Forestville's pipe stock?

A lot of it dates to the post-war build-out, with earthenware sewer and stormwater runs still common under original cottages. We know what to expect before we've even lifted a lid.

What suburbs do you service?

Forestville, plus Frenchs Forest, Belrose, Davidson, Roseville and Allambie Heights. If you're just outside that list, call anyway, we'll let you know either way.

Common questions

The Legal Stuff, Made Simple

Licensing, warranty and the boundary between what you can try yourself and what needs a plumber.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

Grab a plunger for a single sink or toilet, that's a fair first move. Bottled chemical cleaners and rented electric eels are where most DIY attempts go wrong, and touching the actual drainage line requires a licensed plumber under NSW law.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we hold NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, carry Master Plumber accreditation, and are covered by $20 million public liability insurance. All three are checkable, not just claimed.

What warranty do I get?

Every job carries our lifetime labour warranty. If it's not right, we come back, no questions and no cost to you.

What is an overflow relief gully and why does it matter?

It's the grated fitting sitting at your home's lowest outdoor point, built to spill sewage into the yard rather than let it flood back through your fixtures if a line further down blocks. Water sitting or bubbling around it is often the earliest warning something downstream needs clearing.
